Put Fresh, Local Foods on Your School's Menu

Find and purchase local foods for your students.

Feed Our Future®, working with Ohio Schools Council, has pioneered a farm to school bid process that supports local food procurement in school districts across Northeast Ohio and Cincinnati. The bid focuses on fruits, vegetables, and value-added products with local ingredients, giving districts the infrastructure they need to put fresh, local foods on student lunch trays.

Harvest of the Month℠ Procurement

We make it easy to seasonally celebrate foods on menus.

Through our Harvest of the Month  program, our participating school districts gain access to 1:1 procurement consultation, supply chain management, and vendor coordination that connects them with identified, evaluated, and selected local and regional food suppliers on a regular basis.  Feed Our Future’s ® Harvest of the Month℠ procurement services include helping to secure vendors that school districts can purchase food products from, facilitating bid processes, and managing supply chain logistics – giving districts the tools they need to bring locally and regionally sourced products into their cafeterias with confidence.

Making Access Equitable

It's our goal to make fresh, local food accessible to every student, no matter their ZIP Code.

School Equipment Cost Share Program

Our School Equipment Cost Share Program helps local schools purchase the equipment they need to prepare, serve, and store local foods. Aimed at schools with a majority BIPOC and/or economically disadvantaged students, the program reimburses up to $2,000 per local school building or $4,000 per school district. Funding can apply to equipment purchases like Robot Coupes, salad spinners, fruit sheers, and movable shelving.

Fresh Food for Every Student

Think your district is too rural, too urban, too large or too small for local food programs? Students in districts of all sizes and demographics are already enjoying fresh, local meals.

We’re built to meet your students where they are.
