Inspiring a New Generation of Fresh Food Champions
We help students discover their own passion for fresh, local food and share it with their peers.
The strongest healthy food habits and perceptions start young! That’s why student engagement is a signature part of our outreach. Our student-focused initiatives educate, engage, and entertain students and set them up for healthy eating choices throughout their lives.
Harvest of the Month℠ is at the heart of our student engagement strategies. Through Harvest of the Month℠ educational services, we organize and conduct program events, classroom activities, and programming that address nutrition, healthy eating, and wellness in schools and communities.
Food Leaders Alliance
Our Food Leaders Alliance gives middle school students a voice in what’s served in their cafeterias. Students participate in interactive learning experiences that build nutrition awareness, and empower them to become advocates for fresh, local foods in their schools and communities. These young advocates work together to bring healthier, local options to their schools—creating change from the inside out.
Totally Tasty Events
We turn cafeterias into taste testing discovery sessions.
Totally Tasty events bring fresh food discovery straight to the cafeteria. Students taste test local foods in a fun, no-pressure ways and then share their honest feedback: Love it, Like it, Not for me. Their input helps cafeteria teams understand what students actually want to eat.
Totally Tasty events are interative learning experiences that build nutrition awareness and encourage healthy eating habits. These events spark curiosity, open conversations, and help schools build menus that students are genuinely excited about.
In the 2024-2025 school year, we hosted events at seventeen schools across Northeast Ohio, reaching nearly 3,000 students.
