The strongest healthy food habits and perceptions start young! That’s why student engagement is a signature part of our outreach. Our student-focused initiatives educate, engage, and entertain students and set them up for healthy eating choices throughout their lives.

Food Leaders Alliance

Our Food Leaders Alliance gives middle school students a voice in what’s served in their cafeterias. These young advocates work together to bring healthier, local options to their schools—creating change from the inside out.

Totally Tasty Events

We turn cafeterias into taste testing discovery sessions.

Totally Tasty events bring fresh food discovery straight to the cafeteria. Students taste test local foods in fun, no-pressure ways and then share their honest feedback: Love it, Like it, Not for me. Their input helps cafeteria teams understand what students actually want to eat.

These events spark curiosity, open conversations, and help schools build menus that students are genuinely excited about.

In the 2024-2025 school year, we hosted events at seventeen schools across Northeast Ohio, reaching nearly 3,000 students.
